24 Hour Famine Total

Finally all the money from the 24 Hour famine is in, counted and sent to World Vision.
The final total? £417.55. Down on last year but not bad considering fewer members took part and we didn't do the supermarket bag-pack this time. Congratulations to Sam, Hannah, Tom and Elizabeth who raised their money by fasting. The money will now be put to good use in India helping teenagers suffering from HIV and those without an education.

Splat News

Due to the postponement of SPLAT last Sunday (15/2/09) there will be an extra meeting this Sunday (22/2/09). The meeting will be at 6pm at the Mayor's house as usual.
The following weekend we will be doing the '24 hour famine' from 6pm Saturday (28/2/09) to 6pm Sunday. Don't forget to get sponsored. We will be ending the famine with a meal during the SPLAT meeting on Sunday. We will not be bag-packing on Saturday as originally planned since the supermarket cannot accommodate us then. More news on this at a later date.
Also keep the evening of Friday 13th March free. SPLAT intend to attend 'The Gathering' - a national Christian Youth event organised by Serious4god held at the International Arena in Telford. Check out the link opposite for more details.
